Fulfillment Update
almost 4 years ago – Wed, Apr 14, 2021 at 12:21:19 PM

Hey Everyone,

Quick update on fulfillment. I ended up doing all of the U.S. fulfillment myself, and sent out the last of the domestic packages last Wednesday!

Because of the low International prices I set for this project, I need Gambler’s Warehouse to handle the International packages (they get great bulk INT. discount rates that I applied to the pledge tiers). When I checked on how it was going with their orders, I learned on Friday that Gambler’s is extremely backed up. They’re trying to get to the 90 International packages for the ROME: Augustus project this week. Gambler’s is usually consistently true to their word, somI have faith that the International packages will go out this week. I’ll let you know when I know more!

Thanks, Randy

Fulfillment Underway!
almost 4 years ago – Fri, Apr 02, 2021 at 12:44:43 AM

Hey Everyone,

Great news!! Fulfillment is officially underway!

Over 100 domestic packages went out today, more will go out tomorrow, and the rest of the packages should go out early next week.

I’ve posted a few of the product shots I took for the regular non-Sleeve Deck. I didn’t take any for the Sleeve Deck, but it definitely turned out beautifully. And the registration of the art and Diecut are aligned perfectly.

Please let me know what you think of the Decks when they arrive, and thank you for your support in the ROME: Augustus project!!

Thanks, Randy

Still Waiting
almost 4 years ago – Tue, Mar 23, 2021 at 04:03:52 AM

Hey Everyone,

Quick update. Still no arrival of Decks.

It took the Decks three weeks to travel from Taiwan to the U.S. And so far they’ve been within the U.S. for two weeks, with no exact date on when they’ll be at Gambler’s Warehouse. The trucking company called me 13 days ago, to double check shipping details. They have yet to call back to schedule a specific day and time for delivery. I’m guessing they’ll call in the next few days, and hopefully the Decks will arrive this week as well.

The reason for the delay, I’m sure, is the bottleneck at the ports (due to Covid issues).

Next update I post should be the “fulfillment is underway!” post!

Thanks, Randy

ROME BackerKits closing on Friday
almost 4 years ago – Sun, Feb 28, 2021 at 03:09:37 PM

Hey Everyone,

Just a quick update on the progress of the ROME: Augustus Decks.

The slow boat is still slowly on it’s way to the U.S. The finished Decks should arrive sometime around mid-March (and fulfillment will start the day after they arrive!).

I’m going to lockdown the BackerKits this Friday, March 5th. Please make any Add-Ons or address changes before then. Also, there’s around 30 or so Backers that still need to supply a shipping address. If you’re having a problem with BackerKit, please send me a Kickstarter PM with your shipping address.

The direct link for our BackerKit is: https://rome-playing-cards.backerkit.com/

Thanks, Randy

Decks leaving Taiwan soon!
about 4 years ago – Tue, Jan 26, 2021 at 10:30:56 PM

Hey Everyone,

Great news! The ROME: Augustus Deck and Sleeve are printed, and assembly of the Sleeve Decks should be finished up by the end of this week! The finished Decks should be leaving from Taiwan to the U.S., via slow boat, around 7-10 days from now.

So far we haven’t been slowed down by any Covid-related issues, but Legends warned me of the possibility of delays at the congested U.S. ports (due to Covid - workers sick, worker strikes....). I’ll keep you updated if / when any of that arises.

This past week I finished up the design for the ROME 32-Page Book. It should be printed in a week or two! Here’s a Link to the Readers Spreads PDF Proof:

I should be sending out BackerKit invites to everyone within the next week or so (for shipping address and Add-On items). Like usual, I’ll have some of my past Decks available as Add-On items, if anyone wants to take advantage of low shipping prices. I’ll also have a new Deck available, that was printed with the ROME:Augustus Deck. This will be the ONLY time the El Duderino Deck is available online (it’s mostly meant for the Comic Cons and Festivals I exhibit at).

Thanks, Randy
